Satenik Margaryan is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at the Borough of Manhattan Community College. Her research interests are in penal reform in post-Soviet countries, immigrant detention in the United States, and humanistic criminology. She is also working on open education projects and making her courses more engaging through the use of OpenLab.
